Individual Therapy

Individual counseling is a space to focus on you. It’s often the best fit when you’re working through personal challenges, trying to make sense of your thoughts or emotions, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of your next steps. In a one-on-one setting, many people find it easier to open up about more private or sensitive concerns without the pressure of others being involved. This creates room for honest conversations, deeper self-awareness, and meaningful progress at your own pace.

Your therapist works alongside you to better understand what’s going on beneath the surface, identify patterns that may be holding you back, and help you develop practical tools for navigating everyday life. While individual therapy is centered on your experience, there’s also flexibility when it makes sense. At times, you and your therapist may decide to invite a partner, family member, or other important person into a session to support your growth or work through specific situations together.

At Avedian Counseling Center, therapists support individuals through a wide range of concerns and specialties. This includes depression, anxiety, trauma, and stress, as well as more targeted approaches like EMDR therapy, anger management, and emotional regulation. Whether you’re dealing with something recent or something you’ve carried for years, therapy offers a structured, supportive way to process, heal, and move forward with more clarity and confidence.
