Sophie Grigoryan is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor at the Avedian Counseling Center, providing therapeutic services in the Glendale and Sherman Oaks offices. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology and earned her undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge (CSUN).

With over six years of experience as a social worker serving Los Angeles County, Sophie brings a strong background in community mental health and a deep understanding of the challenges individuals and families face. She works with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families, who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship conflicts, parent-child difficulties, and career-related concerns.

Sophie utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Her clinical work is grounded in compassion, cultural humility, and a commitment to helping clients develop greater emotional insight and resilience.

Offering therapy in English, Armenian, and Russian, Sophie is culturally responsive and is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space for clients from all backgrounds.
